MONDAY, OCTOBER 13 - USA
Depart for Beijing

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14 - BEIJING
Arrive Beijing and transfer to the Beijing Hotel near Tiananmen Square.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15 - BEIJING
Your morning tour includes a visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Forbidden City, home to 24 emperors. In the afternoon enjoy Temple of Heaven. Tonight savor a Peking duck dinner. (BLD)

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16 - BEIJING
Walk along the Great Wall, one of the wonders of the world, then stroll down the Sacred Way. In the evening enjoy a special performance of the Peking Opera. (BLD)

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17 -XIAN
This morning venture into the Hutong, the winding narrow streets and back alleys of old Beijing. Then visit a Chinese family in their home. Depart for Xi’an. (BLD)

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18 - XI’AN
Today view the spectacular Terra Cotta Warriors. Discovered in 1974, these 7,000 life-like figures were entombed with Emperor Qin Shi Huang in his massive subterranean funeral vault over 2,000 years ago. Finish the day with a special dumpling dinner and fabulous Tang Dynasty Show. (BLD)

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19 - THURSDAY,
OCTOBER 23 - YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE

Fly to Wuhan and transfer to your outside cabin accommodations on the deluxe Viking Century Sky for an exciting five day journey on the Yangtze River. Visit the extraordinary dam project, travel through the spectacular Three Gorges and take a side trip to the newly opened areas of the Lesser Gorges. (BLD)

Spend part of the day cruising the famed Li River Valley past beautiful and unique limestone karst hills, the incredible geological formations depicted in Chinese traditional paintings. Fly to Shanghai. (BLD)

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26 - SHANGHAI
Your morning tour of the city takes you to the famous Shanghai Bund followed by a visit to the fabulous Yu Yuan Gardens in Old Town. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure followed by an unforgettable evening acrobatic performance. (BLD)
