Depart for Cairo.
FRIDAY, MARCH 5 - CAIRO
Transfer to your hotel. In the evening get acquainted
with fellow travelers at a welcome dinner. (D)
SATURDAY, MARCH 6 - CAIRO
Admire the treasures of ancient Egypt at the
Egyptian Museum (including the Royal Mummy
Room). See the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed
Ali and visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, the place of
pilgrimage for North African Jews; the Hanging
Church; the Coptic Museum and Shar’a Al Mu’iz.

SUNDAY, MARCH 7 - LUXOR
In the morning fly to Luxor. This afternoon visit
Karnak, one of the largest temple complexes in
the world. This evening return for a fabulous
Sound and Light show. (BLD)
MONDAY, MARCH 8 - NILE RIVER CRUISE
Transfer to your cruise ship. After lunch spend the
rest of the day exploring the great temples of Luxor,
among the most beautiful temples in Egypt. (BLD)
TUESDAY, MARCH 9 - NILE RIVER CRUISE
Today’s West Bank adventures include a visit to
the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings,
the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi
of Memnon. Sail to Esna. (BLD)
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10 - NILE RIVER CRUISE
This morning sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of
Horus, the most complete Egyptian Temple in
existence. Then sail to Kom Ombo to visit the
Greco-Roman Temple of Haroeris and Sobek.

THURSDAY, MARCH 11 - NILE RIVER CRUISE
This full day includes a visit to the High Dam,
Temple of Philae and sail by Felucca to visit Agha
Khan Mausoleum and view Elephantine Island.

FRIDAY, MARCH 12 - CAIRO
Fly this morning to the magnificent temple of Abu
Simbel moved when the High Dam was built. It is
a marvel of ancient and modern engineering.
Later fly back to Cairo. (BL)
SATURDAY, MARCH 13 - CAIRO
Spend a full day excursion discovering the
Pyramids and Sphinx. Even ride a camel if you
wish. See the Solar Boat Museum, the most
spectacular of all Egyptian boats found to date.
Visit a papyrus institute on the way back to the
hotel. (BL)
SUNDAY, MARCH 14 - CAIRO
After breakfast, we drive to the ruins of Memphis,
capital of ancient Egypt, to visit the recumbent
statue of Ramses II, and onto nearby Sakkara,
home of 14 surviving pyramids including the Step
Pyramid, the first great stone construction in the

MONDAY, MARCH 15 - CAIRO
This morning drive across the Western desert
from Cairo to Alexandria to visit the Library of
Alexandria and the Museum. See the Catacombs,
largest known Roman burial site in Egypt and the
Roman Amphitheater, which dates back to the
second century. (BL)
TUESDAY, MARCH 16 - CAIRO
Today visit the museum of Islamic Art, one of the
finest museums in the city, which has extensive
collection of Egyptian art and pieces from other
Islamic countries. Continue to the historic Al Azhar
Mosque, Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Khan al
Khalili Bazaar. Reminisce with fellow travelers at
this evening’s farewell dinner. (BLD)
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17 - USA
Transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)

Day 1: Fly to Amman and drive to Petra
Day 2: Explore Petra then drive to Mt. Nebo,
continue to Madaba and return to Amman.
